The Productive Cooperative Society for the Recycling of Electronic, Electrical, Solid and Liquid Waste registered No. (855) known as “ Eco Green Waste Management “ EGWM is non-profit organization which represents and promotes the interest of recycling companies that are treating waste from electronic and electrical equipment (WEEE) , Solid and Liquid. It membership includes 30 specialist recycling companies which approved from the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Trade and Industry according to Law of Environment No. 202 year 2020 .
EGWM’s Members is fully integrated solution for collection, transport and treatment facilities and landfill, all of us does his best to raise ZERO waste EGWM is at the forefront of this transition to a climate-neutral and circular economy in Egypt . By substituting extracted raw materials with recycled materials the industry saves substantial amounts of energy and water while preventing significant CO2 emissions.
According to the UN, the world generated a massive 57.4 million tons of e-waste in 2021. Unfortunately, only 20% of e-waste is properly collected and recycled. This means that a plethora of valuable materials such as silver, copper, gold, platinum, and others are incinerated or landfilled. E-waste recycling enables the recovery of these valuable materials, alleviates our dependency on extracting new resources and reduces the dangers that improper disposal poses to the environment and human health.
